In 2006, I graduated from college and went to work in the mortgage business. I was inspired to take the job because I had met a couple of gentlemen that were earning 20-30k per month doing mortgages. I didn’t know what a mortgage was, but I could count, and making 20k per month fresh out of college sounded like a win. Within 6 months, I was handing out flyers and free passes for 24 Hour Fitness as I had quickly failed out of the business.

What I didn’t realize was I was going into business for myself and there were lots of questions I should’ve asked before choosing to enter a commission only industry.
